The first homes were built here just a decade ago and already it’s home to over 30,000 people. Some choose it for convenience – Valdebebas is just twenty minutes east of Madrid city centre – and two minutes west of Barajas Airport. Others are drawn by the stylish homes and wide streets, buzzing with a growing range of shops, cafes and bars.

But most of all, people love Valdebebas for its open space. Half of the whole area is a 340 hectare park, as big as Central Park and Hyde Park combined, and full of walking trails, cycle paths and playgrounds. More than 300,000 trees form a green oasis that attracts nature lovers, runners, trail riders and dog walkers.
At Skypark Valdebebas, you are perfectly placed to join them – or take a front row seat for all that is going on.
From every home, you can see the park. That’s a guarantee of huge open space, on your doorstep. Walk 200m from your front door, and you’re in it. Take in the view, listen to the birdsong, breathe in the clean air and the scents of flowers in bloom all year round.
Skypark is in the centre of Valdebebas, close to the shops, cafes, restaurants and schools. All just a short walk from the station, where you can get a train to the city centre in under half an hour.
Valdebebas is evolving fast. With the majority of residents now moved in, the focus is shifting towards enhancing the services available. Valdebebas will soon host Madrid’s courts and legal offices, alongside the existing hospital and Real Madrid training complex. A major shopping centre is planned for the north east corner, to add to the array of shops dotted around the streets. Further enhancements are planned to transport links and choices.

As the neighbourhood matures, so will the park. The newly planted trees will mature, providing shade and colour. In Skypark itself, and in the pocket green spaces that sit between every block in the district, Mediterranean plants and shrubs will flourish. Valdebebas will be Madrid’s garden suburb: a green oasis between the airport and the city centre, offering a better way of living in the city.
